Soojin and Peter were married in the beautiful Saint Gabriel the Archangel Catholic Church located in the gorgeous Saddle River Valley, New Jersey. The couple wanted a very laid back, intimate, yet an unforgettable celebration of their love. Soojin grew up in Korea and moved to New York City just a decade ago to attend fashion school. Her passion for fashion and design landed her a job at the internationally renowned wedding gown designer company Marchesa. Soojin had such a lovely vision for her wedding it reminded me of a journey through an enchanted garden.
Soojin was dressed in head-to-tow Marchesa. The two bridal gowns she wore were nothing short of spectacular and each made a bridal statement of their own. The gown she chose to walk the aisle down was the exact dress from Marchesa’s Fall 2016 line. It has been described as a “silk-satin fitted mermaid wedding dress with plunging neckline and intricately appliqués with beaded lace motifs.” The second gown was from Marchesa’s Spring 2016 line. The “Opal Gown pairs the brand’s exquisite floral embroidery with a high-low silhouette for a look that is truly one-of-a-kind.”
Oh, the perks of working in high-end fashion! I have never photographed a gown so beautiful. The gowns she wore that day reflected the beauty on the inside as well as the out. Soojin was the sweetest bride, and I couldn’t have been happier for her and the groom Peter! After the church ceremony, the two celebrated with a wedding guest list of 50 at the Saddle River Inn. The reception included live music, some very emotional speeches, laughter, and great food. Congratulations to the newlyweds! I wish you all the best as you start your new life together as husband and wife.
