I am beyond excited to be sharing the beautiful wedding of Jeanne and John today. I first met Jeanne and John on the day of their Bridal Portrait Session. Instead of a traditional engagement session, we decided to photograph a lovely Day Before session. The images came out beautifully. You can find a link to the session __. After seeing the images from the Day Before, I absolutely could not wait for the wedding day.
The love on their wedding day was magical. Jeanne was such a beautiful and sweet bride whom constantly made sure that everyone was having a great time. We started the day at the bride’s parent’s house with a traditional Vietnamese Wedding & Tea ceremony. The groom’s family showers the bride’s family with gifts to ask for the lucky girl’s hand in marriage. This tradition is significant to Vietnamese families because they are honoring their ancestors, and it is a celebration of continuing the family line. When Jeanne and John’s children get married, they will follow this same tradition and honor their ancestors before them.
Following the Tea Ceremony, we arrived at one of the most stylish and modern event venues in Houston, Texas: 5226 Elm. We were expecting lot and lots of rain! However, the couple did not let the unpredictable weather put a damp in the celebration. All that we got that day were beautiful soft gray skies and just a little bit of wind.
Thank you Jeanne and John for sharing your day with us! We loved every moment of it!
