Hello! My name is Jenny Fu, and I am an editorial and photojournalistic wedding and portrait photographer based in New York City.
I first picked up a camera when I was ten years old on a road trip with my family, but it wasn’t until 2010 that I turned my curiosity for photography into skill. I took a photography class to learn the basics, and a few months later began to intern for a Brooks Institute trained fashion photographer named Tania. From studio lighting to composing beautiful editorial images, to the importance of attention to detail—Tania taught me everything she knew about photography.
While assisting her, I began to dabble in wedding photography and eventually got signed to a wedding photography agency. It was then I realized that shooting weddings fed my soul. When a wedding is over, the flowers have dried, and the cake has been eaten—the only thing couples have left of their special day is their photos—and it’s an honor to be able to bring these memories back to my clients years down the road.
When I’m not shooting weddings, I’m usually roaming the vibrant streets of New York City or spending time with my husband Roman and our French bulldog, Jefe. Roman is my biggest fan, and not only is he an insanely talented fashion photographer himself—but he’s also the most supportive, loving person I know.
I look forward to meeting you and hearing about your wedding, vision, and how we can work together to document the most memorable day of your life.
