A look back at the intimate and stylish Italian Elopement in Lake Como that started it all!
Believe me, when I say, this Italian elopement in Lake Como was an absolute dream for me. It was my first destination wedding as well as my first trip to Italy. Talk about a picturesque first time!
Brandy and Tyler are one of the most stylish couples (the Brooklyn duo is a Tinder success story.) After getting engaged, they were both overwhelmed with the amount of planning that goes into a wedding. The couple decided that jetting to and celebrating with a destination Italian elopement in Lake Como with twelve of their nearest and dearest was going to be an unforgettable choice!
Everyone flew into Milan and took a train to a little town called Mandello del Lario on the non-touristy side of Lake Como. The wedding ceremony took place at Villa Confalonieri 1913, which the bride found on Airbnb. The day was followed by a “cocktail cruise” on the famous lake in Italy – because why not? Dinner was served on the lawn by candlelight, and perfect ‘golden hour’ sunshine enveloped us.
THE BRIDE’S FAVORITE PART OF THE DAY
“My favorite part of the day was the walk to the boat. We stayed on the small, non-touristy side of Lake Como in a little town called Mandello del Lario. The streets are tight, the homes are gorgeous and you’re surrounded by the mountains. As we were walking down the streets, I looked back at the smile on my husband’s face, and I couldn’t help but cry. I was so happy and the day was so perfect and stress-free. It just felt like a true reflection of our love.”
I do not doubt that this is the wedding that changed my photography career. Brandy and Tyler’s intimate elopement went on to be published in BRIDES, PureWow, and Popsugar. These platforms allowed for Brandy and Tyler’s elopement to gain international recognition!
