jay jay and sarrah // destination engagement // austin, texasSouth Congress, Downtown Austin Texas, Capital of Texas Highway, Pennybacker Bridge, I love you so much

I am super excited to be sharing this blog post with everyone. I first met the groom to be, Jay Jay, in college while attending The University of Texas many moons ago. When Jay Jay met Sarrah, I was extremely happy for him because they fit together perfectly.

Anyone who knows Jay Jay knows that he lives and breathes the downtown scene of Austin, Texas. It made complete sense to capture the first part of their engagement session on the streets of South Congress. I cannot not take a couple of shots in front of the famous “I love you so much” sign. The San Jose Hotel is also so beautiful that it’s rare to not see a small photo session happening out front. Luckily for us, the sun was shining, and everyone knows I love some good sunlight wrapping around my subjects.

We ended our engagement session on the cliffs near Capital of Texas Highway at 360. The Pennybacker Bridge and Colorado River was the perfect backdrop for our sweet little photo session. “Hiking” up to the top of the cliff felt like I was in a scenic area like the Northwest. It didn’t feel like Texas at all, but it was! Austin is truly a beautiful city, and I will always cherish the decade that I lived there.

It was Jay Jay’s idea to “pop some bottles” for the final photos. It was lovely to see pink skies as the sun began to set, and we enjoyed some champagne together. These two will be tying the knot this October, and I can’t wait to share their beautiful day with them. Hope you all enjoy the photos!
